To tripod or not?

I’m going to get a tripod. I am. I just don’t know which one yet.

It’s all part of the quest to become a better photographer.

Yes they can be annoying to carry around, but i’ve been told the sacrifice is worth it to get sharper images.

I just wonder if i’m going to have to take it everywhere, in case i need it. It’s amazing how much stuff gets involved when a hobby gets a little more serious. “I’m getting serious about this malarky, so i need lots more toys.”

Maybe the ascent of the learning curve involves gaining more toys, and then when you reach the top you’re good enough without them and can throw them all away. Maybe.

I’m not really sure what i’m asking you, dear readers, but do you have any thoughts on tripoding (not a real verb)???
